The Shooting Diaries is committed to building a respectful community that promotes responsible shooting and gun ownership and upholds the highest standards with regard to animal welfare. We’re passionate about our sport and want to represent it in the most positive and constructive light possible. In order to achieve this, we require your co-operation.

We ask that users be courteous, considerate and mindful of the impact your actions could have on others and the reputation of our sport. Please refrain from posting or sharing any graphic text, images, videos or other media that may cause offense. We have a zero-tolerance policy for any content or behaviour that brings our app or the sport of shooting into disrepute.

Responsible shooting is at the core of our values. Please:

Be a positive ambassador for the sport
Show respect for the countryside, good manners and consideration for others
Follow the law and best practice guidelines relating to hunting and shooting wildlife
Ensure your rifles, shotguns or other firearms are correctly registered, handled and stored
Always get permission from the landowner when shooting

We advise anyone who participates in shooting to ensure they are fully aware of and comply with the statutory legislation and best practice guidelines relating to the sport. If you are unclear as to your legal obligations, it is your responsibility to find out and ensure your personal compliance.
